Positive Reflection

We have come a long way. This journey at Amal academy was no less than a rollercoaster ride. A thrilling learning experience where I have learnt and groomed myself and have met some great people. This journey has been great, from taking fun online sessions with engaging activities to panicking on friday for PW submission.

Among these experiences, one experience I would like to share with you would be the one where we ate that frog with a Pomodoro. Yes, that procrastination course. I have been the kind of person who gets things done on time but always start at the last minute. This has been my approach for so long and I have been trying to get rid of this habit but nothing seemed to work.

That was until I started this course. Just as I came to the first lecture of this course and read the comments, I realized that I am not the only one facing this problem. Although there were some early birds in our batch, most of us were struggling with this. I saw their passion and enthusiasm to get rid of this habit and got energized as well. As if somehow, miraculously, their positive energy has been transferred to me.

The course was great. Actually, it was beyond great. The way procrastination was explained using a panic monster, a gratification money, and a rational decision maker in us made it so fun and easy to understand. The course was concluded by the Pomodoro technique and again I was glad to have energetic fellows around me who kept me going and made me use this technique.

No matter how many times I look back to this moment, I would never trade the excitement I felt and the way I improved myself. The only thing which I find regretful is why didn’t I find this earlier. But good things have their own time to come I guess. Lately, I am so satisfied with myself and am constantly working to improve myself.
